The IMP 8045-92-L – Locator Abutment Legacy 4.5DIA x 2MM is a precision-manufactured prosthetic component designed for secure overdenture retention on implants with a 4.5mm platform diameter. Featuring a 2mm collar height, it is especially suited for cases with minimal soft tissue and reduced interarch space, allowing for low-profile placement and accurate emergence profile management.
Part of the Locator Legacy system, this abutment incorporates a patented dual retention design—offering both internal and external retention surfaces for dependable overdenture stabilization. This dual mechanism provides enhanced durability and consistent long-term performance, while supporting convenient patient access for hygiene and maintenance.
Machined from high-strength titanium alloy, the abutment resists corrosion and clinical wear while delivering a stable foundation for the Locator attachment housing. It accepts a range of retention inserts (nylon males), enabling clinicians to customize retention strength based on functional and patient-specific requirements.
The 2mm collar accommodates limited vertical clearance while maintaining proper support beneath the prosthesis. Its compact design helps preserve gingival contours and improves patient comfort during insertion and wear.
