Product Details
Description:
SprintRay NightGuard Flex 2 Simply Clear is a second-generation biocompatible dental 3D printing resin specifically indicated for the fabrication of dental appliances such as flexible nightguards and mouthguards. Supplied in a 1 kg bottle under SKU SRI-0202145, this material is designed for professional dental applications and is formulated to provide a combination of flexibility, durability, comfort, and aesthetics. NightGuard Flex 2 builds on the performance of the original NightGuard Flex resin with improved mechanical properties, increased fracture resistance, and greater durability. SprintRay reports an impact strength of 88.2 J/m, compared with 85.7 J/m for the previous-generation Flex material, while Shore D hardness is increased to 70.0 D. The material also provides 65% elongation at break, compared with 30% for the previous generation, supporting greater flexibility and durability. The Simply Clear shade is clinically formulated for high translucency and can be polished to a high level of optical transparency, providing a clear, professional appearance suitable for dental appliances where aesthetics are important. NightGuard Flex 2 is designed to become pliable at body temperature, which can contribute to patient comfort and facilitate delivery and chairside adjustment when appropriate. The resin is available in two shades, Simply Clear and Ocean Blue, allowing dental professionals to select the appearance appropriate for their workflow. SprintRay specifies the material for use with compatible SprintRay 3D printing systems, including the SprintRay Pro, Pro S, and Pro 2 printers, with validated workflows using RayWare Desktop or RayWare Cloud software. The manufacturer's instructions specify a minimum appliance thickness of 1.0 mm and provide validated printing parameters for these systems. As a professionally intended dental material, NightGuard Flex 2 should be processed according to SprintRay's instructions for use, including appropriate washing and post-curing procedures, to achieve the specified finished-appliance properties. The manufacturer states that the material is intended exclusively for professional dental work and should not be used for purposes outside its indicated applications. It is also contraindicated for patients with a known allergy to its ingredients or where uncured resin would have direct intraoral contact. The material is supplied as a 1 kg quantity and should be stored at 15–25°C (60–77°F), protected from direct sunlight, with the container kept closed when not in use. Overall, SprintRay NightGuard Flex 2 Simply Clear provides dental laboratories and practices with a dedicated material for digitally manufactured flexible nightguards and mouthguards, combining improved toughness and flexibility with a highly translucent clear appearance for a comfortable and aesthetically oriented dental appliance workflow.
