Description:

Sterngold SternVantage® Varnish LC is a 5 ml bottle of light-cure, one-component surface coating material based on acrylates. It is the LC Varnish (SKU 220232) that is needed for EZ PickUp® to chemically bond to acrylic, and it can also be used as a surface sealer on acrylic materials.

How it works: the varnish cures without a smear layer caused by oxygen inhibition. It has been developed especially for cases where the surface of acrylate materials after polymerization exhibits an undesired or intolerable smear layer, where increased surface hardness is desirable, or where the oral environment must be protected from elution of monomers out of freshly polymerized materials.

Where it fits: in an overdenture pickup procedure using EZ PickUp, the varnish is applied to the acrylic as part of the bonding step. It is also useful as a finishing coat on provisional or denture acrylics to provide a smoother, harder, more protected surface.

What is included: one 5 ml bottle of light-cure varnish. Because it is light-cured, use a curing light appropriate for acrylate materials and follow the Instructions for Use for exposure time and technique.
